My little guy has been bringing home such fun creations from nursery school. Today, it was a hand-stamped wind sock hanging from ombre yarn, and last week, the watercolor he painted was so pretty that I actually framed it and hung it up in his room! But, before your children are capable of creating frame-worthy creations (this gorgeous Upper East side apartment totally capitalized on that idea), and before they start having a say in what goes on their walls, it's nice to have lots of little points of interest in their rooms. Not just for them, but for you, too. Having a soothing mobile or a sweet message on the walls definitely makes all the difference and it's also something they'll grow up remembering. To this day, I fondly recall the bright, primary-colored shapes my parents painted onto my bedroom walls.
