No one is unaffected by breast cancer, and I believe raising money and awareness should be a year round push by designers and press, not just during breast cancer awareness month in October. These hand-dyed, handmade leather bracelets with burnished edges are available on Friday & River's website, and one hundred percent of sales will be donated to the American Cancer Society to help fund their efforts in cancer research and patient support.
If you're not familiar with Friday & River (est. 2011), they're a handmade leather-goods, jewelry, and accessories company based out of San Diego, California. Similar to Scott McGleason's sustainable woodworking company that I wrote about last week, they're not wasteful; they embrace "scars" on the leather they're working with, rather than cutting them out.
